value sth
Value 這個字作動詞使用時，意思就是「重視」、「看重」，例如當我們想表示自己重視對方的想法時，就可以說 ” I value your opinion. “，直接在 value 後面加上自己所重視的事物即可喔~
I value our friendship.
我重視我們的友情。Our boss values our opinion and is willing to communicate with us.
我們的上司重視我們的想法而且願意和我們溝通。
consider sth important
如果要表示自己重視某件事，也可以說 ” I consider something important. ” Consider 就是「認為」，important 就是「重要的」，可以在中間加上任何名詞，我們來看以下例句~
He considers customer feedback important in a business.
他認為客人的回饋在商業上很重要。Jackson considers social status important.
Jackson 很重視社會地位。
attach importance to sth
剛才說到 important 是「重要的」意思，它的名詞則是 importance，也就是「重要性」。因此這邊要帶你看另一種「重視」的英文說法 ─ ” attach importance to something “，attach 帶有「連接」、「附屬」的意思，因此當我們說 attach importance to something，就代表我們將某件事與與重要性連接起來，也就是我們很重視某件事！這種說法較為正式，比較常見於書面用語。如果要特別強調「十分」重視，可以在 importance 前面加 ” great ” 來加以強調~
A good company should attach importance to the growth of employees.
一間好公司應該重視員工的成長。Corey attaches great importance to the quality of education.
Corey 十分重視教育的品質。
care about sth
當我們想表達自己很在乎或重視某件事或某個人的時候，可以說 ” I care about something / someone. “，後面可以加 ” very much ” 或 ” a lot ” 等來強調自己在乎的程度喔 😉
I care about what you think.
我很在乎你的想法。Simon does not care about other people’s feelings at all.
Simon 絲毫不重視別人的感受。
sth means a lot
如果要表達某件事對自己意義重大時，可以說 ” something means a lot to me “，意思就是「某件事對我很重要」。這句話和主動的「重視」有些不同，它比較像是發生了某件事之後，當事人要強調某件事對自己很重要。來看以下幾個例句~
Thanks for sending me flowers. It means a lot to me.
謝謝你送我花，這對我意義非凡。Sarah’s boyfriend told her that their relationship meant a lot to him.
Sarah 的男朋友告訴她，他們的關係對他而言非常重要。
