一、remind 當「提醒」的用法
remind 當提醒的意思時，後面通常直接接人，因為你一定是去提醒某個人，而不會去提醒一個沒生命的東西。人的後面就視要提醒的事情種類，而有不同寫法。
🔎 remind + 人 + about + 名詞
當你想表達提醒某人某件事時，remind 後面可以直接接人，但必須在你要提醒的那件事，也就是名詞前面加上 about。
Zoe sent me a message to remind me about our date.
Zoe 傳了訊息給我，為了提醒我們的約會。Could you remind Rita about the meeting on Monday?
你可以提醒 Rita 星期一的會議嗎？The professor reminded us about the deadline for handing in the term paper.
那位教授提醒我們繳交學期論文的期限。
🔎 remind + 人 + to V
如果想要提醒某個人去做某件事，可以在你要提醒的人後面直接加不定詞 to V。
那為什麼要用不定詞 to V，而不是動名詞 V-ing 呢？
to V 通常表示未來計劃要做的事，而 V-ing 比較常用來表示一個持續的狀態或事實。
提醒別人做某件事，那就代表他計劃去做那件事，但尚未去做，所以當然是用 to V 囉！
Dad reminded my sister to buy some milk on her way home.
爸爸提醒我妹回家路上買些牛奶。Owen reminded his roommate to take out the trash.
Owen 提醒他室友去倒垃圾。Can you remind me to breathe?
你可以提醒我要呼吸嗎？（小姐妳有那麼緊張嗎？😂😂）
🔎 remind + 人 + that 名詞子句
當你要提醒別人一件比較複雜的事或情況，無法用一個名詞或不定詞簡單帶過，那就可以在人的後面直接加 that 名詞子句。
📝 小複習：that 名詞子句就是有名詞特性的子句，而且包含「that + 主詞＋動詞」的基本結構。這個句型的 that 可以省略，因為在這裡 that 名詞子句是受詞，而且 that 並沒有實際意義，只是用來引導出後面的子句。
Yvonne reminded her daughter (that) Aunt Lily would come later.
Yvonne 提醒她女兒 Lily 姑姑等一下會來。Peter reminds everyone (that) his birthday party will start at 8 p.m.
Peter 提醒所有人他的生日派對晚上八點開始。I think my tummy is reminding me (that) it’s time for breakfast.
我想是我的肚肚在提醒我吃早餐的時間到了。
二、remind 當「讓⋯⋯想起」的用法
remind 表「提醒」時，是叮嚀對方未來要做某件事；而當「讓⋯⋯想起」時，則是讓對方回想某件已經知道或以前發生的事，所以這兩者當然有不同的用法囉，千萬別搞錯了！

🔎 remind + 人 + of + 人 / 事 / 物
回想可以用在非常多情境，所以主詞可能是一個東西、一件事或一個人，可說是無所不包。
而且跟當提醒時一樣， remind 後面可以直接加人。比較不同的是，你所回想到的那個人、事、物前面必須加介系詞 of。
The song always reminds my brother of his wedding.
那首歌總讓我哥想到他的婚禮。Those photos reminded Marsha of the time she first met her fiancé.
那些照片讓 Marsha 想起她第一次見到她未婚夫的時候。You remind me of my mama.
你讓我想起我的媽媽。
⚠️ 另外要特別留意，這個句型的 remind 不可以寫成進行式。
The teacher reminds me of my uncle. ⭕️
The teacher is reminding me of my uncle. ❌
那位老師讓我想到我的舅舅。
🔎 remind + 人 + (of) + wh- 名詞子句
如果人後面想接 wh- 名詞子句，wh- 名詞子句前面的 of 可加也可省略。
📝 小複習：wh- 名詞子句其實就跟 that 名詞子句很類似，它們都是有名詞特性的子句，但 wh- 名詞子句是用 wh- 疑問詞引導出名詞子句。疑問詞包括 what、when、who、which、why、where、how。
The video reminded Jill (of) what she did after she was drunk.
那支影片讓 Jill 想起她喝醉後做了什麼事。The article reminded Daniel (of) why he chose to be a reporter.
那篇報導讓 Daniel 回想起為什麼他選擇當記者。The movie about the poor reminds me (of) how lucky I am.
那部關於窮人的電影讓我想起自己有多幸運。
