【時間介系詞】In, On, 還是 At? 時間/日期/月份介系詞整理！

遇到不同時間像是年份、月份、星期、日期等，到底要用哪個介系詞呢？是 in、on、at 還是其他？相信這是有些人會很困擾的問題，但其實學習介系詞是有邏輯可以依循的，如果你能了解各個介系詞的核心概念，就能讓你在判斷要使用哪個介系詞時更容易喔！那就繼續看下去吧～

介系詞是什麼？

首先，先來看幾個例句了解一下介系詞的基本概念吧～

I got up at 10 this morning.
我今早十點起床。

My birthday is on May 1st.
我的生日在五月一日。

I went to India in 2010.
我是在 2010 年去印度的。

I like listening to music before bedtime.
我喜歡在睡前聽音樂。

介系詞會放在名詞或代名詞前面，用來表示那個名詞與句子中其他字的關係，例如：時間、位置、屬性、因果、方式等，以讓句子更豐富與詳盡。而以上舉的例子都是表示時間關係，像是 at 10、in 2010、before bedtime 都能讓句子的內容更加完整。

時間介系詞有非常多個，那我們就先從最基礎的 in、on、at 開始介紹喔～

at, on, in 搭配時間的用法？

在說明這三個介系詞時，我們可以先看看這張圖，這裡很直觀地說明了 at、on、in 的基本概念～

at + 某時間點

例如：幾點幾分

I get up at 9 am every day.
我每天早上九點起床。

My dad usually works at night.
我爸通常在晚上工作。

📖 小補充：
at night 和 in the night 的差別？

at night 就是一般在晚上的說法，而 in the night 指的會是在某個晚上的某段時間，亦即 during the night，不過 in the night 聽起來會比較文雅，所以比較會在詩或文學作品中看到，口語中比較少用。請看例句吧～

I don’t drink coffee at night.
我晚上不喝咖啡。

Please don’t call me at night.
晚上請勿打電話給我。

I heard my phone ring in the night.
我聽到我的電話晚上的時候在響。

It was unusual that the dog kept barking in the night.
那隻狗晚上一直吠，很不尋常。

👆 以上這兩句在口語中就比較會用 at night 表達喔～

on + 特定的某日

例如：星期幾、幾月幾日、某一天、節慶當天

I’ll see you on Tuesday afternoon.
我們週二下午見。

I plan to hold a party on my birthday.
我計劃在我生日那天辦場派對。

📖 小補充：
如果是指 12 月 25 日的聖誕節當天，就會用 on Christmas (Day)，而如果是聖誕節的整個假期，就會用 at Christmas 喔。

in + 較長的一段時間

例如：月份、年份、季節、世紀

I always have a cup of coffee in the morning.
我早上時總會喝一杯咖啡。

I will travel to Canada in July.
我會在七月去加拿大旅行。

I enjoy going swimming in the summer.
我喜歡在夏天游泳。

in 也可以表示「一段時間之內」，這時候語意和 within 相通

That’s incredible! She finished the project in two days.
真是難以置信啊！她在兩天內就完成這個專案了。

Every student needs to hand in the math homework in one week.
每位學生都要在一週之內繳交這份數學作業。

I can run 100 meters in 10 seconds.
我可以在 10 秒內跑完一百公尺。

in 也可以表示「在某段時間之後」(at the end of a period of time)，這時候句子通常會使用未來式，直接看例子比較清楚唷～

I’ll be right back in five minutes.
我五分鐘就會回來。

The steak will be ready in 10 minutes.
牛排再十分鐘就好了。

其他常用的時間介系詞

除了常見的 at、on 和 in，以下的介系詞也會用來搭配時間喔。

by 在…之前

by 後面要加一個時間點。

I need to make the decision by five o’clock.
我需要在五點前做出那個決定。

The letter will arrive by tomorrow.
那封信件會在明天前寄達。

before 在…之前

before 當介系詞時，後面可以加上一個時間點或是一件事（名詞）。

The party will begin before 8 pm.
派對將會在晚上八點前開始。

I need to arrive home before dinner.
我需要在晚餐前回到家。

after 在…之後

和 before 一樣， 當介系詞時，後面可以加上一個時間點或是一件事（名詞）。

The couple decided to break up after the serious fight.
那對情侶在大吵之後決定要分手。

You can come over after 10.
你十點後可以過來。

during 在…期間

during 後面可以加上特定的某段時間或是做某件事的期間。

Did you hear a strange sound during the night?
你晚上的時候有聽到一個奇怪的聲音嗎？

What did you do during the summer vacation?
你這個暑假做了什麼啊？

Many buildings collapsed during the big earthquake.
很多建築物在那場大地震中倒塌。

We met the mayor during our visit to the museum.
我們去參訪博物館時遇到了市長。

until 直到…為止

until 指的是事件會持續到某個時間點才會結束，後面會加上一個時間點。而 until 也可以代換成 till 這個字喔。

I can stay here until 10 pm.
我可以在這裡待到晚上十點。

I am on a business trip in Japan. I won’t be home until next Monday.
我現在在日本出差，要到下禮拜一才會在家。

since 自從

since 通常會和完成式一起用，後面加上一個明確的時間點。

I have lived in Tainan since 2000.
我從 2000 年就已經住在台南了。

We haven’t met each other since Christmas.
自從聖誕節後，我們彼此就沒再見過面了。

Since college, we have been living together.
我們從大學就住在一起了。

for 為期…

for 後面會加上一段時間，和 since 一樣常和完成式一起使用。

We were in Australia for two weeks.
我們在澳洲待了兩週。

I have learned Spanish for 10 years.
我已經學西班牙文十年了。

I haven’t seen you for a long time.
我已經有一段時間沒看到你了。
