相信大家或多或少有造訪博物館或美術館的經驗，尤其在歐洲國家更是必去的行程之一。那欣賞完作品後到底要怎麼用英文表達呢？
基本上，「作品」可以翻譯成 work 或 piece，趕快來看看他們怎麼使用吧！
1. work
work 的複數為 works，為概括的創作品說法，像是書籍、繪畫、音樂作品等都可以用這個字。
The gallery has many works by Van Gogh as well as other famous painters.
這家美術館有很多梵谷的作品，也有不少其他知名畫家的作品。The square is exhibiting works by the local artists.
那個廣場正在展示當地藝術家的作品。Many people regard the Sagrada Família as the best architectural work of Gaudí .
很多人將聖家堂視為高第最棒的建築作品。

2. piece
piece 的複數為 pieces，指的是文學、藝術方面創作的成品，如：音樂曲目、繪畫、雕塑、戲劇、文章等。piece 和 work 當「作品」之意時，沒有太大的差別，不過 piece 會特別指的是專家的作品，像是眾所皆知的貝多芬、莎士比亞這種大師級的作品。
The rich man bought a piece painted by Picasso.
那個富豪買了畢卡索的一幅作品。The pianist played a piece by Mozart.
那個鋼琴家彈了一首莫札特的作品。The children performed a short dramatic piece written for the little prince’s birthday.
那些小朋友表演了一個專門寫給小王子慶生的短劇作品。
