1) 「乘搭」的 by 🚖
I went to the museum by bus yesterday.
我昨天搭公車去博物館。Last Saturday Mary travelled to Taichung by high speed rail.
瑪麗上星期六做高鐵前往臺中。
2) 「某時間前」的 by ⏱
They will arrive at the venue by 3 o’clock.
他們三點前會到會場。By the time he came home, his wife had gone to bed.
他到家的時候，他的妻子已經睡覺。
3) 「透過某個方法」的 by 💡
Mandy wants to receive praise from her manager by working hard.
曼蒂想藉努力工作得到經理的贊揚。I have been learning French by watching this YouTuber’s videos.
我藉觀看這位YouTuber的視頻一直學習法文。
4) 「被。。某人」者 by 🕵
The chair was broken by a naughty boy.
椅子被一個調皮的男孩打破了。The contract was torn by a mad man.
合約被一個生氣的男人撕破了。
5) 「旁邊」的 by 👩❤️👨
He sang songs happily by my side.
他在我旁邊開心地唱歌。I will park my car by yours.
我會把車停在你的車旁邊。
6) 「經過」的 by 🚶
She sped by my house in her Porsche.
她開著保時捷汽車迅速經過我家。The newly hired colleague went by me without saying anything.
新聘請的同事從我旁邊經過而不發一語。
7) 「依據」的 by 👉
You can’t judge a book by its cover.
你不能以貌取人。By law, all restaurants have to close down.
依據法律，所有餐廳必須關門。
8) 「期間」的 by ⌛
Hank studies by day and works by night.
漢克日間念書晚間工作。They travelled by night to save time for sightseeing.
他們為了省時間給觀光在晚間坐車前進。
9) 「每。。單位」的 by 💱
May I buy the masks by the dozen?
我可以買一打口罩嗎？The instructor is paid by the hour.
那位導師以每小時給支付薪金。
10) 「同意」的 by 👌
Don’t worry. That’s fine by me.
別擔心，我同意。If it’s all right by you, I’d like to use your computer.
如果您同意的話，我想用您的電腦。
