3. Provide 物 for 人
The school provides a bus service for its students.
這所學校為它的學生提供公車服務。He provided useful advice for us.

Offer的用法
1. offer somebody something 提供(人)(物)
They offer us the chance to buy their apartment.
他們向我們提供機會去購買他們的公寓。The company offered him a good job.
這家公司向他提供一份好的工作。The charity offers the disadvantaged help.
這家慈善機構想為弱勢社群提供幫助。
2. offer something to somebody 提供(物)給(人)
➡ 別忘了要在人的前面加上to 哦！
They offer the chance to buy their apartment to us.
他們向我們提供機會去購買他們的公寓。The company offered a good job to him.
這家公司向他提供一份好的工作。The charity offers help to the disadvantaged.
這家慈善機構想弱勢社群提供幫助。
3. Offer也可當「名詞」使用
最常見的例子就是台灣人口語上常常用的 “job offer”這個字，意思是「工作機會」。如下例句所示：
After considering several job offers, I accepted a position with a startup in Taipei.
在考慮了許多工作機會之後，我最後接受了台北一間新創公司的職位。
Offer和Provide的異同
Offer和Provide最主要的差別在於：Offer較強調「主動給予、願意提供」的意思；而provide則是表達「給予他人所需要的東西」這個確立的事實。我們先來看看Offer的例句：
She offered me help, but I turned her down.
她提供我幫忙，但我拒絕她了。The guy offered her a ride, but she didn’t think it was a good idea.
那個男生提議要載她一程，但她覺得這不是個好主意。
💡 注意到了嗎？在以上例句中，offer強調的都是提供者的「意願」，而非「已經提供的事實」。所以在這個用法中，offer和provide之間是不能互相替換的❌
反之，下面這兩個句子裡的provide表達的都是「已經提供的事實」，而不只是提供者的「意願」而已。所以在這些情況下，只能用provide喔！
My parents both provide for the family equally.
我的父母共同為家庭提供生活所需。Her aunt kindly provided a place to stay when she had nowhere else to go.
當她無處可去時，她的阿姨好心地提供她住所。
💡 雖然offer和provide意思不同，但在某些情況下，offer還是可以和provide互相替換：
The club offers a variety of facilities.
=The club provides a variety of facilities.
這個俱樂部提供各色各樣的設施。This region offers some of the best food in the country.
=This region provides some of the best food in the country.
這個地區提供這個國家一些最好的食物。
