【家事英文】曬衣服、倒垃圾、掃地 等英文怎麽說？

嗨，大家！我是英文庫的 Anna！今天要跟大家聊聊各種「家事」的英文。說到家事，你會想到哪些呢？不外乎是洗衣服🧦、洗碗🥣、掃地🧹、拖地等等（都是媽媽在做），那這些家事的英文該怎麼說呢？一起來看看吧！

家事英文

倒垃圾 take out the trash/garbage

第一個要介紹的是我數一數二討厭的（？）事情😂就是「倒垃圾」！倒垃圾的英文是 take out the trash 或是 take out the garbage，garbage 和 trash 在美式英文中都是「垃圾」的意思喔。
還要特別注意，在美國等國家的「丟垃圾」通常都是將垃圾拿出去家裡外面放，所以就會用到 take out 這個動詞片語，代表「拿出去」喔！來看看幾個例子吧。

Don’t forget to take out the garbage tonight.
別忘記今晚要倒垃圾。

It’s your turn to take out the trash.
輪到你倒垃圾了。

Can you help me take out the garbage?
你可以幫我把垃圾拿出去嗎？

掃地 sweep the floor

倒完垃圾後，讓我們進到室內開始做一些室內清掃🧹。首先就是「掃地」，會用到 sweep 這個動詞，意思是「打掃、清掃、掃除」，特別指清掃地板。

Please sweep the floor after the guests leave.
客人離開後請掃一下地。

They swept the floor once a week.
他們每個禮拜掃一次地。

如果想要特別指清掃某個區域，可以在 sweep 後面加上不同的地方，比如說「掃房間」就可以講 sweep the room，例如：

Mom asked me to sweep the room every day.
我媽媽叫我每天掃房間。

知道「掃地」的英文怎麼說之後，來快速認識一下掃地會用到的用具，「掃把」的英文叫做 broom，「畚箕」的英文叫做 dustpan，如果你想要在國外網站上買掃把和畚箕，就可以輸入 broom and dustpan 來搜尋喔！

吸地板 vacuum the floor

除了「掃地」之外，現代人越來越依賴吸塵器，所以我們也會「吸地板」。先來認識「吸塵器」的英文是 vacuum cleaner，vacuum 當動詞的話就有「用吸塵器清掃」的意思，所以想要講「用吸塵器吸地板」就可以說 vacuum the floor。

My mom vacuums the floor and mop the floor every Saturday.
我媽媽每週六吸地板和拖地。

如果要用吸塵器吸其他地方或事物，可以用「vacuum + 事物/地點」表達：

I just vacuumed the carpet.
我剛吸完地毯。

Please vacuum your room today.
今天請吸一下你的房間。

拖地 mop the floor

掃完地之後，就一定要進入「拖地」啦！我媽媽會每天耳提面命：「不可以只有掃地，地板很髒，還要拖地！」我就只好勉為其難拖一下地板 🤣（真是有夠懶）
那來順便學一下「拖地」的英文是 mop the floor，其實「拖把」這個名詞英文就叫做 mop，那 mop 當作動詞的時候就是「拿拖把拖地」的意思啦。來看看怎麼運用這個片語。

My mom made them mop the floor.
我媽媽逼我拖地。

Jimmy and I swept and mopped the floor and others cleaned the window.
Jimmy 跟我掃地和拖地，而其他人擦窗戶。

The cleaning lady empty the trash cans and sweep and mop the floor every morning.
掃地阿姨每天早上會清空垃圾桶、掃地和拖地。

洗碗 do/wash the dishes

接下來來到一個大家可能很討厭做的家事：洗碗！🥄🍴 每次看到油膩膩的碗盤、餐具堆在水槽，都會心生煩躁，但是我本人因為不會煮飯，所以都會舉手自願洗碗，畢竟還是要幫忙一下😅
來認識一下「洗碗」的英文，可以說 do the dishes 或是 wash the dishes，其中的 dish 就是「餐具、碗盤、碟子」等等的意思喔！用複數是因為洗了不只一樣餐具，所以就用 dishes。

Since you’ve cooked, let me do the dishes.
因為你都煮飯了，就讓我洗碗吧。

Judy, it’s your turn to do the dishes.
Judy，輪到妳洗碗了。

I don’t like my roommate because she never cleans or wash the dishes.
我很不喜歡我室友，因為她從來不打掃，也不洗碗。

洗衣服 do the laundry

接下來進入衣物 🥼 的部分啦！每次我都會下定決定要三天就洗一次衣服，但後來越來越懶惰，就會拖到洗衣籃整桶滿滿的才拿去洗…（打屁股）
先來認識一下 laundry 這個單字，它是名詞，意思是「待洗衣物」，可能包含髒的衣服、毛巾、床單等等，整個 do the laundry 就是中文常說的「洗衣服」囉。

Today is a good day to do the laundry. It’s sunny.
今天是個適合洗衣服的好日子。外面天氣晴朗。

Don’t worry. I did the laundry yesterday.
別擔心。我昨天已經洗好衣服了。

I do the laundry and my husband cooks.
我洗衣服，我老公煮飯。

晾衣服 hang out/up the laundry

洗完衣服後就來進入一個麻煩的步驟：晾衣服！晾衣服真的是個又乏味又耗時的工作，可以用這個片語：hang out the laundry 或 hang up the laundry，都可以用來表達把衣服拿出去晾在曬衣架上喔。

Don’t forget to hang up the laundry.
別忘了要晾衣服喔。

My brother is hanging out the laundry in the yard.
我哥哥在庭院裡晾衣服。

Denise hung the laundry out to dry.
Denise 把衣服拿出去晾乾。

折衣服 fold the laundry / fold clothes

前面有提到 laundry 可以指「待洗衣物」，它其實也可以指「剛洗好的衣物」喔，所以如果要說折衣服，可以說 fold clothes，如果要特別指要折剛洗好的那些衣服，就可以用 fold the laundry。

Allen was listening to music while folding the laundry.
Allen 邊聽音樂邊折衣服。

I am folding my new clothes.
我正在折我的新衣服。

The little girl and her mom folded the laundry together.
那個小女孩和她的媽媽一起折衣服。

整理床鋪、鋪床 make the bed

接下來終於進入最後一項家事：整理床鋪！起床會折被子的人舉手🤚（先承認我只要離開媽媽的視線範圍就不會折🤣）。其實整理床鋪會讓心情變好，有種能讓人神清氣爽面對新的一天的感覺，但偏偏我很懶惰，就會把被子亂攤在床上。
鋪床、整理床鋪該怎麼說呢？英文會用 make the bed 這個片語，不只有折被子，也包含把床單拉好、枕頭擺好等等的床鋪整理喔。

I make the bed after I get up every morning.
我每天早上起床後都會整理床鋪。

The hotel housekeeper makes the bed after the guests leave.
飯店的客房管理人員會在客人離開後整理床鋪。

如果要特別強調是整理某某人的床鋪，可以把 the 改成所有格代名詞 your、her 等等。一直不整理床鋪的你可能會這樣被媽媽罵：

You should make your bed by yourself; you’re already 17 years old.
你應該自己整理床鋪；你已經 17 歲了。
