一、concern 當名詞用
concern 當名詞用的時候，最常見的意思就是「某人所擔心、在乎、覺得重要的事」，來看例句的示範。
Feel free to let me know if you have any concerns.
如果你有擔心的事，儘管跟我說。👌The manager resigned from his job because of health concerns.
那位經理因為健康考量而辭職。💸Their main concern is to ensure the safety of their children.
他們最在乎的事，就是確保他們小孩的安全。
The new manager’s primary concern is to boost sales.
那位新上任的經理首要之務是提升業績。💰What she thinks about me is none of my concern.
她怎麼看待我，我才不在乎。
二、concern 當動詞用
concern 當動詞用時，屬於及物動詞，代表後面是需要加上受詞的。此時 concern 其中一個常用的意思為「令某人擔心的是……」，這時候的句型是在後面加上那個某人，
We have to solve the problems that concern our customers.
我們必須解決我們客戶擔心的問題。It concerns the mother that her children eat too much junk food.
那個媽媽擔心的是她的小孩吃太多垃圾食物。🍟What concerns people is the government’s lack of preparation.
人民所擔心的是政府缺乏準備。
此外，動詞 concern 另一個常用的意思為「跟某人相關」、「影響到某人」，這時候也一樣是在它的後面直接加上那個對象，例如：
The news story concerns a celebrity who died of cancer.
那則新聞是關於一位死於癌症的名人。
This new policy concerns all of you.
這項新政策跟你們所有人相關／會影響到你們所有人。These changes concern everyone that lives in this neighborhood.
這些改變跟所有人相關／會影響到住在這一區的所有人。
三、concerned 的用法
concerned 後面加上 ed 時是形容詞，意思是「感到擔心的」，類似 worried。如果要表達是對某個人、某件事感到擔心，加名詞的介系詞可以用 about／for，當然，除了名詞之外，要加子句也是可以的 👌，來看例句的示範。
I’m really concerned.
我真的很擔心。The concerned employees have discussed the issue.
那些擔心的員工已經討論了這個問題。She’s truly concerned about/for me.
她是真的擔心我。She’s concerned about/for my happiness.
她關心我的幸福。She is concerned that she will lose everything.
她擔心會失去一切。I’m concerned that they’ll delay the meeting.
我擔心他們會延遲召開那個會議。
concerned 另一個常見的意思就是「關於」、「受影響」，如果後面要接受詞，這時介系詞會換成用 with，例如：
We should talk with all the people concerned.
我們應該要跟所有相關的人談談。Her job was concerned with fashion.
她之前的工作是跟時尚相關。👜
His new online course is concerned with English grammar.
他新推出的線上課程是關於英文文法。
四、concerning 的用法
concerning 有一個語氣比較正式的用法，是「關於」的意思，而且這時候它跟 about、regarding 一樣都是介系詞，用法當然也相同，在後面加上名詞，也就是關於的那個主題。
I just received an email concerning the sales results.
我剛收到跟業績有關的郵件。The employees have questions concerning the future of the company.
那些員工對公司的未來有疑問。
concerning 還有另一個用法屬於形容詞，意思是「令人擔心」的，也就是 worrying，例如：
Global warming is a concerning issue.
全球暖化是個令人擔心的問題。💔The crime rate in this country is extremely concerning.
這個國家的犯罪率令人極為憂心。
五、（答應你的）兩個小彩蛋
不少同學在學到 as far as I’m concerned（我認為、我覺得）和 To whom it may concern （敬啟者）這兩個片語時，常常都會覺得它們看起來很奇怪，其實這兩個片語裡的 concerned 跟 concern，都是「關於」的意思，下面咱們就一起來看一下吧。
1. as far as I’m concerned 的用法
當母語者想表達自己的想法／感覺，有時候就會說 as far as I’m concerned，其實這個片語跟 I think 是一樣的意思，只不過是換句話說而已。至於這時候的 I’m concerned，概念就是類似「關於我（的想法、感覺）」，例如：
As far as I’m concerned, Monster Inc. is the best animation ever.
我覺得怪獸電力公司是有史以來最棒的動畫。He has no reason to quit the job now, as far as I’m concerned.
我覺得他現在沒有理由就辭職不幹。
2. To whom it may concern 的用法
表達「敬啟者」的 To whom it may concern，都是放在郵件的開頭，所以 To 都是固定要大寫，這個片語是表達「某某某你好」的意思。什麼時候用呢？當你不知道收件者是誰，無法直接稱呼對方，就可以改用「這封信相關的人員」來稱呼，例如：
To whom it may concern,
I’m writing this email to request a refund…
敬啟者,
我寫這封郵件是想要申請退款……
