Neither.. nor.. 的用法
neither A nor B 屬對等連接詞，意指「不是 A 也不是 B」或「A 和 B 兩者都不是或沒有」，專用在否定的狀況中，表示「兩者皆非」，後面都是接兩個對等的單字、片語或是子句。
句中前後的 A 和 B 兩個項目在文法上必須對等，如果 A 是名詞，B 也必須是名詞；如果 A 是子句，B 也必須是子句，依此類推。
I’m surprised that Doris likes neither kangaroos nor koalas. They are so cute!
=I’m surprised that Doris doesn’t like kangaroos or koalas. They are so cute!
我很意外多麗絲不喜歡袋鼠也不喜歡無尾熊，牠們很可愛呢！She could neither laugh nor cry.
= She couldn’t laugh or cry.
她笑不出來，也哭不出來。
若 neither A nor B 所引導的主詞為名詞時，動詞必須隨 nor 之後的 B 做單複數變化。
Neither you nor Kenny can speak French.
你和肯尼都不會說法語。（動詞需配合後者主詞 Kenny）Neither the teacher nor the students were in the classroom yesterday.
老師和學生們昨天都不在教室裡。（動詞需配合後者主詞 the students）
想使用其他類似句型，可以以 not 作為否定句獨立成一個句子，再加上以 neither 置於句首的句子以表示 also not（也不是），但後面需使用倒裝，將主詞與動詞倒過來。
- 主詞 + 動詞 / be 動詞 not …. Neither + 動詞 / be 動詞 + 主詞
I’m not at home. Neither is Mary.
= Neither Mary nor I am at home.
我和瑪麗都不在家。
另外，也能夠以較不正式的 not … either 予以替代，表示「不 … 也不 …」。
Sandy didn’t attend the meeting and her manager didn’t either.
= Neither Sandy nor her manager attended the meeting.
仙蒂沒有參與會議，她的主管也沒有。
當然，neither A nor B 也可以以 not … either A or B 替代。
Jane isn’t interested in either math or English.
= Jane is interested in neither math nor English.
珍對數學和英文都興趣缺缺。
其實， neither … nor 與 either … or 的用法真的有幾分相似，如果你很疑惑到底該如何使用，可以參考以下這篇文章喔！
需注意的是，neither … nor 本身就扮演否定的角色，若是誤用雙重否定（double negative）會改變整個句子原本要表達的語意，因此在使用的時候需要小心，否則與 not 碰在一起會負負得正，導致意思完全相反。
They aren’t going to neither travel nor go on vacation.（語意錯誤）
She can’t neither talk nor walk.（語意錯誤）

- My manager told me I couldn’t have a vacation. My manager told me I couldn’t take a day off. What a pity!
- Frank can’t read the map. His partner also can’t read the map. They don’t know where they’re heading to.
- She can’t sing. She can’t play the guitar.
- Neither Jerry nor his friends _____(are/is) going to have a party tonight.
- Neither Columbus nor John ____(want/wants) to date Jenny.
