相信大家以前都在公民課學過我國的政府體制，五權分立下有五院，其中的行政院下又分成十四部（已經不是八部了）。
當在與外國人討論時事或政治議題時，知道這些部門的英文能讓你的談話更精準又專業喔！
五院的英文
依據中華民國憲法的五權分立制度，中央政府由總統府及五院所組成。

十四部的英文
根據行政院組織法，行政院底下設有 14 部，其運作事項和大家的生活息息相關，在新聞中應該會常聽到。

- 若要說各部部長，直接把 Ministry 改成 Minister 即可，如：Minister of Education（教育部長）、Minister of Foreign Affairs（外交部長）。
五院的相關詞彙
相信你應該有發現五「院」是直接音譯成「Yuan」，這是只有台灣會這麼翻譯的，因為我國的政府組織架構比較特別，如果翻譯成 department 或 council 可能會被誤認為附屬的組織而不夠到位。不過，外國人第一次聽到 Yuan 時可能會一頭霧水，所以建議你要再多做一點解說喔。
💡小提醒：如果要把五院、部門、院長、部長等名稱放進句子，前面要加上 the，如：
The Legislative Yuan is the supreme legislative organization of the Republic of China.
（立法院是中華民國最高的立法機關。）
